In Virginia McCoy's view, art in Inverness is vital as a way of expressing ourselves, as well as attracting tourism from many places. She thinks that tourism in Inverness is no accident, and that art can be a good addition to a healthy lifestyle.

In Inverness we have what is called the Inverness County Council of the Arts (ICCA) Which is a group of people that operate as a support group for artists in Inverness. This Started in 1984 with the help of our Recreation Department.

Art in all forms and of course music have always been quite popular in Inverness, although they have changed over the years. Now we have many more devices and more technology in our art. And our art is still very lively and diverse. That part should never change.

Thank-you for your interest Erica. ICCA is working hard to let you, the community and the world aware of the possibilities for working in all of the arts disciplines.

We help musicians and actors find places to perform. We have annual shows of Inverness County's visual artists. We work with the schools to bring opportunities to students.

When we set up our own web-site we'll be sure to add a link to these pages. The artists working in Inverness County believe the people from all over would benefit from coming here to work .

Inverness County is a magical, powerful place.
